As early as 1927, there were plans to build a joint airport between the cities of Dallas and Fort Worth. However, the proposal was rejected at the time, and each city went on to open its own airport: Dallas \u2014 Love Field, and Fort Worth \u2014 Meacham Field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
